It’s that time of the year again when Houston’s best restaurants take part in Houston Restaurant Weeks to help raise money for the Houston Food Bank. Running from August 1-31st, special menus are created including 2-3 course lunches for $20 and 3-4 course dinners for $35. For every meal sold $3-$5 is donated to the Houston Food Bank – one of the biggest and most lauded food charities in the US. Since its conception in 2003, Houston Restaurant Weeks has raised more than 1.7 million to help fight hunger in Houston.
For diners, it is a great opportunity to not only contribute to this great charity but sample the plethora of fantastic restaurants in this city for an affordable price. It’s not uncommon to find yourself eating out for lunch & dinner a number of times each week to try and fit in your hit list. Not all restaurants offer brunch & lunch and you can search via the Houston Restaurant Weeks website by brunch, lunch or dinner menus. Reservations are required and the normal restaurant menus are available during the month still.
