Oktoberfest in Houston

Oktoberfest is the world’s largest festival held in Munich from September 22 through to Sunday October 7 2012.   Houston has a number of Oktoberfest events for you to enjoy (even some with the family!)

Astros Oktoberfest – The Astros are hosting the Phillies at 6.05pm and the Oktoberfest event will be open for all fans with a game ticket from 3.00pm – 6.30pm on the KBR Plaza.  The event is going to feature live music and beer tastings.

Oktoberfest Houston – This family friendly event on October 20 from 1pm will have food, live music and beer and is being held at the HCC South Loop Campus.  General admission (through the website) is $20 or $25 at the gate.

Saint Arnold Brewery Oktoberfest – The popular brewery will be hosting their annual Oktoberbest parties on Friday October 5 and Saturday October 6.  There will be live music, a commemorative mug, dinner and a pretzel for $49.

Shepherd Plaza Oktoberfest Pub Crawl – This will be held on Saturday September 22 in the Shepherd Plaza starting at the Mucky Duck at 1pm and finishing at the Stag’s Head.

Karbachtoberfest – Held at the brewery on October 6th from 12-4pm Karbach will be hosting their first annual Oktoberfest event.  The cost for a ticket to this event is $30 + fees.

You can of course go to Houston’s German themed pub called Bar Munich to get the full German experience.

    Local German club is host to a 2 day Oktoberfest with “Munich Evergreens aus Bayern” an authentic 5 piece band flying in from Munich, Germany !
